Amerie rockin' hot pink with gems and foxy accessories. I love her sense of style and also edgy music. Go Amerie!

Make a Bold Statement

I love the negative spaces of Stina Persson's ink work. Playful lines, color, shape, and form makes a bold statement to her impressive composition and it is greatly appreciated. I love it!

Made some Herb Roasted Chicken with Vegetables for lunch. I'm starving! Get the recipe here. I used Chicken instead of Turkey.

Hot Chili Bandits

We had so much fun during our photo shoot at Julie's farm ranch to promote the Hot Chili Bandits for the chili contest at work. My son and little cousin enjoyed feeding and riding the horses too. Our pictures was photographed by Marc. Check out his work here. The day of the competition, everyone was just having a good time with great music, fun costumes, food and drinks. We didn't win but it was a fun experience and enjoyed everyone's company. Thank you Julie and Marc. Have a safe and Happy Halloween everybody!

Alluring illustration of Manoli Lopez with the sweet melody of Vector Lovers' Tokyo Glitterati. A stellar work of art that I made this piece as my wallpaper on my desktop. I love the vibrant colors and the lady here is simply beautiful. I wonder what she's thinking of right now...

Designer Visions 2009 with Thom Filicia

Thom Filicia designed this modern place with classic, earthy colors for House Beautiful. Dramatic tones with bright elements creates this apartment so comfortable, stylish and romantic that it makes me want to read a novel or drink a cup of tea at the Zen veranda. Let's get inspired and listen to the sweet sounds of Bombay Dub Orchestra's Feel - The Theivery Corporation remix. Are you feeling it?

An ABC of Hipster Slang

Pauline Matthewman's awesome illustration of alphabets for the bright and sunny weekend.

Inhale Exhale

Life is just complex simplicity...
You can't spend your life
Being in fear of all that may be
You gotta press on
You gotta be free
You gotta breathe
Inhale exhale.

Design a Better World

Nice work by Ivana Martinovic and Jason Little in designing this Conference package on How Can Graphic Design Help Save the Planet?

It's a beautiful day!

It's a beautiful day to make some chocolate fudge cupcakes swirled with whip cream and strawberries on top! I've been craving for something sweet and made this perfect Sara Lee favorite to start my bright weekend. Oh happy joy!

Subscribe to this playful magazine from Uppercase. Enchanted with the colors, patterns and charm of modern vintage, I can't wait to get my hands on the exquisite designs of Issue 3. Enjoy!

Wacom Tablet

This image was created when I first used the Wacom Bambo tablet practicing my illustration skills with the pen on Photoshop. The photograph was taken at a nightclub where my husband deejays. It was a perfect shot to play around with the shadows and light. I'm starting to get use to this stuff! What do you think?!

The Heart of Design Still Beats

"I just seem to work all the time–I don’t think [I have] any big secret to being organized, it’s just a matter of getting on with it, I guess. I’ve always been quite good and very motivated to do the best work possible. I’m always striving to better myself. One day I would like to be content with myself and look back and think 'yeah, I did alright in the end.' Hopefully this will happen, as I never feel quite content." ~Si Scott

'With a positive mindset and confident attitude' is ultimately what pushes Si Scott through his work and keeps him organized, both mentally and professionally. I'm in love with his intricate, hand-drawn techniques that come to life and by listening to music and lyrics...his inspirations flow freely especially with words. Some of his favorite fonts are Helvetica (family), Akzidenze Grotesk (family) and Pagan Poetry. Here are several designs that I adore from above via breedlondon. To learn more about Si Scott's inspiring approach go to his interview here and typeforyou. Absolutely fantastic!
