Hello, everyone! It's Mari from Arcadian Lighting, a wonderful place to find light fixtures and lighting ideas and trends on the Internet. Be sure to stop by and check out our great blog. I'm so excited to be here visiting at Define1Lady.
Today's guest post is all about dreamy, breezy tropical bedrooms. Whether in homes with an ocean view or far inland with no beach in sight, tropical bedrooms are meant to evoke a carefree island getaway feel. Please enjoy the eight we've brought to inspire your tropical dreams.
More formal than most, this island bedroom gets its tropical feel from fresh bird-of-paradise blooms, whispery canopy draperies, a breezy fan, and cool tile floors.
Citrusy hues on walls, textiles and accessories bring a tropical look to this bedroom. Potted palms add their own special touch. I love the casually draped canopy.

Orange and white prevail in this tropical getaway. The whimsical leaf design on the love seat is especially evocative of the tropics.
A white on white palette is especially suitable for a tropical bedroom as are slender wrought iron canopy beds. A unique parrot lamp keeps watch in this inviting space.
Large scale botanical wallpaper provides a lovely background in this island bedroom. Coral bedding and quirky little shell lamps look beautiful with matching brass furniture.
With an entirely different look, this wide open bedroom suite is dressed in brown. It's not your usual tropical palette, but it looks stunning with the natural wood tones.
With an ocean view, this tropical bedroom is filled with sunny yellow. A black four-poster bed is draped in gauzy white.
A contemporary take on tropical, this light and airy bedroom is set against green and white botanical wallpaper. The upholstered bed is not expected in island style, but works beautiful in this space. Another unexpected element is the choice of lighting fixtures for this interior design, large classical urn lamps flanking the bed. Of course, only one is visible in this view.
