Memorial Day Week: Vacation Time

If you follow me on instagram, you've probably seen these pictures already but feel free to browse through once more.

We took another trip to California. Last month, we visited here.

This month it's just about relaxing and celebrating life.

Our dog, Ninja, came along too.

We tried chicken and waffles from Bruxie. Did you ever try this?! It's so good.

During Memorial Day, our friend had his grand opening of Rooted at Artesia, California so we stopped by to show some love and support.

And Ry drawing our names (and shark) on the Rooted's guest book.

Thus, we took our boys to get a haircut when we came back home to Nevada. They thought this style would look super cool just like a shark's "dorsal fin." ;-)
And my birthday! My main man and I ate lunch at Kaizen. Nothing fancy... just good food and celebrating many more years to come!

Good to be back home!

Don't forget my shop will be back in business tomorrow. I will launch a few designs in a few days so please stop by DeFine1Lady often. Thank you.

Fun Craft: DIY Pinata

My kids wanted to help make a pinata for Cinco de Mayo weekend. Instead of adding strips of tissue paper, they wanted to paint something super cool.

And this is what they came up with...

Ocean, sharks, abstart art...

Ryu was amazed by the different tones and textures of watercolor.

After the paint dried up, I added candy inside the paper mache for the boys.

They burst this pinata open minutes after hanging it up.

Hope I can make another one for the next party. It was sure fun making it.

Do you want to make a DIY pinata? You can check out more fun crafts like this at Pinterest

Happy Monday!
